The aim of this course is to organise an exhibition of artworks that deal with environmental challenges and possible solutions (https://www.genderlimno.org/muac.html). Students will plan the exhibition and translate relevant material from English/Spanish to German (skills in project management). Furthermore, students will do research about the underlying scientific findings of environmental research and societal interactions and prepare scientific posters to be juxtaposed with the art-works (skills in integration of interdisciplinary insights). Moreover, students will deal with effective dissemination of complex scientific findings with creative and aesthetic strategies (knowledge on science communication). Finally, students will carry out a survey to find out what viewers think of the exhibition (skills in evaluation research). We will guide through this process, provide weekly feedback, support with selection of literature, theories or methods and advice on interdisciplinary integration and project management. |
