• Practical English Usage (4^th edition) by Michael Swan
• an authoritative monolingual English dictionary for advanced learners (ideally, the latest edition)

Your regular attendance and active participation is essential for achieving this course's learning objectives.

You are expected to attend all sessions of your group and arrive in time for each class.

You have passed the Language Course 1 examination.

If you do not attend the first session in Week 1, i.e. on 24 or 25 or 26 October, you will lose your Zulassung (ZU) and your spot might go to a fellow student on the waiting list (WL).
If you have an important reason for missing the first session of a course (return from your stay abroad during the first lecture week or illness), you have to inform the instructor and the secretary in advance. For absences due to illness you have to submit a medical certificate.
